TYR have unveiled another huge summer signing with their announcement that US swimmer Simone Manuel has agreed a sponsorship deal.

After signing a deal with Katie Ledecky last month, TYR have now added reigning Olympic and world champion Manuel to their impressive roster of superstar swimmers.

Manuel claimed Rio 2016 gold in the 100m freestyle, and followed that up by beating Sweden's Sarah Sjöström to win the world title in Budapest last year.

Despite only turning 22 years old next week, Manuel has already notched up an impressive seven World Championship gold medals to go alongside her two Olympic golds from Brazil.

Manuel said: "My identity as a citizen, a black woman, an athlete and as a creative who wants to use her platform to effect positive change is multi-faceted, and a partnership with TYR represents all of those elements.

"Both TYR and I share a passion for winning and a common vision for growing the sport of swimming by connecting with people and encouraging them to dream beyond traditional assumptions. I am so thrilled to partner with them."

TYR have also revealed that Manuel's deal has an inclusion rider — believed to be a first for an athlete sponsorship agreement. This will see the swimmer and her partners extending meaningful opportunities to traditionally under-represented groups, while encouraging the importance of diversity.

TYR Sport's CEO Matt DiLorenzo said: "Simone Manuel is a force to be reckoned with, both in and out of the water. Watching her become one of the world's most groundbreaking names in the sport of swimming has been nothing short of inspiring.

"As a brand, we could not be more proud to welcome Simone to our growing family of TYR-sponsored athletes. We are confident that in working together we will create products that not only take performance to the next level, but ultimately continue to change the course of history."

Manuel joins a star-studded lineup that includes Olympic gold medallists Ledecky, Ryan Lochte, Dana Vollmer, Matt Grevers, Cody Miller, Leah Smith, Lia Neal, Tom Shields and Kelsi Dahlia, as well as Olympians Jacob Pebley and Molly Hannis.
