Pro Swimmer Michael Andrew Talks Training and the New Adidas Adizero XVI Tech Suit (Video)

In this video from Swimming World magazine's youtube channel we get a one-on-one with Michael Andrew. He's the first U.S swimmer to go professional at the young of just 14 and has broken over 80 age group records in his career so far! He has moved from age group to national / international competitions and is certainly going to be one to watch over the next few years. Now aged 16, the promising young swimmer has teamed up with Adidas as his competitive swimming partners.

Born to South African parents and raised in the USA, Michael Andrew reportedly uses a slightly unusual training method when he is being coached by his father in their two-lane backyard pool. The method is known as Ultra Short Race Pace Training (USRPT). There has been great debate in the swimming world about the benefits or disadvantages of USRPT, but the results in his case are undeniable!

The interview was recorded at the launch event for the new Adidas Adizero XVI swimsuit, the latest tech-suit offering from the global sportswear giant. Watch the official launch video for the new 2016 swimsuits here:
