Enhance Upper Body Strength And Technique With The New FINIS Iso Paddle

The FINIS Iso Paddle is the latest technology to come from training aid giant, FINIS.

Iso paddles are strapless paddles designed to isolate specific muscle groups, develop proper hand position and heighten stroke awareness. Iso paddles are uniquely designed to create an imbalance in the catch phase of a stroke, which forces swimmers to apply more pressure on either side of the paddle in order to maintain a proper stroke. The variance encourages swimmers to pay increased attention to hand position in the water, keeping it level and consistent throughout the catch and pull of each stroke.

The Iso paddle is special and certainly very different from all of the other paddles on the market for a host of reasons. It's strapless design has been ergonomically shaped to fit the natural contour of the hand, not only enhancing technique but simultaneously working on your upper body strength engaging one of two muscle groups. The iso paddle gives you the option to either work on your pectoral, bicep and deltoid muscles by having the edge on the inside, alternatively, you can work on your triceps and trapezius muscles by having the edge on the outside. The versatility of the Iso paddle means it's the only paddle you will ever need. Of course, being a hand paddle it's designed specifically for upper body technique and strength. The Iso paddle is said to "increase the feel for the water allowing you to make adjustments and improvements to your stroke, this is how the combination of strength and technique is achieved.

Perhaps you want to take your workout with the Iso paddle one step further? Grab yourself a pull buoy and fully isolate your upper body leaving your entire lower body, not in use. We would only recommend this for experienced swimmers as the strength and energy required for a workout like this often comes as a shock to some.  Check out the FINIS Iso Paddle here!
