Everything you need to know about ISL and London Roar

What is the International Swimming League?

The International Swimming League is a brand-new competition in 2019 that hosts a series of swimming events! In these events different teams compete in variety of different swimming events for points. The regular seasons run from October to December with a combination of events such as regular, derbies and a final match at the end.

There are usually 8 clubs that compete, and the clubs always make sure to have 12 female athletes and 12 male athletes competing. Each team has a captain and a co-captain of each gender respectively. Two members from each team are allowed to enter each event and represent that club. The winners are based on point accumulation throughout the different racing events, and they are all counted and chartered up at the end of each event.

The ISL is mostly composed of successful athletes. Around 75% of all current Olympic Champions and World Record holders compete in the ISL matches. After each match an MVP chosen based on the number of points that they have accumulated for their team.
