Resistance workouts are a vital aspect of swim training and conditioning. Attaching to an anchor point, Resistance Cords allow swimmers to train outside the water and simulate swimming movements, building strength and a better range of motion. The Resistance Cords are appropriate for swimmers of all ages and abilities, they come in different strengths of resistance. The cords are also a great tool to combat injury and maintain strength in the off season.

In swimming, speed depends on stroke rate. Stroke rate is the number of strokes per minute, and distance per stroke. The use of stretch cords helps to strengthen many of the small connector muscles, ligaments, and tendons that can become overused or overlooked while training in the pool. Increased strength leads to increased swimming speed.

In addition to off season training, you can also use stretch cords as part of your warm-up for a competitive swimming event. They're usually lightweight and take up very little space in your bag, making them a great training tool that you can take anywhere!
